Dr. Mohammed Rashed Chowdhury is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry, Faculty of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU), Bangladesh. He joined SAU as a Lecturer in 2013 and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2015 and Associate Professor in 2022. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and MS in Biochemistry from Sylhet Agricultural University, followed by a Master’s degree in Sustainable Animal Nutrition and Feeding (EMSANF) through the Erasmus Mundus programme in Europe. He completed his PhD from Harper Adams University, UK, in 2022, and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral/research fellow at the University of New England, Australia, from 2023–2025. His research focuses on animal nutrition, sustainable livestock production, feed supplementation, nutrient utilization, methane mitigation, and the application of biochemical and molecular approaches to animal health and food safety. He has published research in international peer-reviewed journals and received competitive research grants and academic awards from national and international organizations.
